Presentation of the organisation:
Sevilla is the capital of the Seville province and the leading city of Andalusia, SW Spain, on the Guadalquivir River. Connected with the Atlantic by the river and by a canal accessible to oceangoing vessels, Seville is a major port as well as an important industrial, cultural, and tourist center. Wines, fruit, olives, cork, and minerals are exported. Its industries include the manufacture of tobacco, armaments, explosives, perfume, porcelain, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles, and machinery. It has a two public universities (the first one founded 1502, and the second one 1997).
Actions implemented in the field of building performance:
1.-Energy Optimisation Plans (POE). Implementation of the following measures in 365 municipal buildings (486 electricity provisions, 61 natural gas provisions):
- cancellation of provisions
- changes of tariff
- changes in the contracted power
- replacement of maximeters for the optimisation of the electricity invoices
- correction of reactive energy
- improvement of the installations efficiency
2.- Project "Seville, Solar city": setting up of solar thermal energy equipments in municipal buildings and companies. Aim: 500 kw photovoltaic connected to networks in municipal buildings. Monitoring of installations
