Actions implemented in the field of building performance:
Maintenance budget include repairs to save energy.
Some thermostatic radiator valves installed throughout Nelson and Colne Town Hall.
Lighting movement detectors installed in some toilets and offices.
Staff publicity campaign.
Procurement policies for particular efficient products.
Council has recently undertaken the Carbon Trust survey which identified further areas for improvements.
