Energy centre Bratislava Slovakia - 15 inhabitants
Presentation of the organisation:
The Energy Centre Bratislava is non-governmental, not-for-profit information and consulting organisation which has been working in the Slovak Republic since 1993. In 1998, the Energy Centre Bratislava and the Slovak Energy Agency became a member of the EU OPET/FEMOPET network.
The principal goal of ECB activities is the promotion and support measures and activities aimed at increasing energy efficiency and improving environmental protection in Slovakia. The objective of the ECB is likewise to contribute to increasing of public energy awareness. By transferring innovative technologies and supporting the implementation of concrete projects, activities and legislative changes, the ECB plays an active part in improvement of the Slovak energy sector.
The main activities relevant to the project idea are the following:
Sector research and technology promotion strategies
Collection of Slovak energy sector data, creation and
maintenance of relevant databases
Promotion and support of innovative energy technologies
Assistance in the development and implementation of RUE a
RES projects
Preparation of energy audits and local energy planning
strategies
Assistance by development of training programmes and
courses
Translation, adaptation, and production of EU publications
relevant to the Slovak energy sector
Education and raising awareness activities i.e. organisation
of conferences, seminars, trainings, media campaigns,
production and dissemination of analyses, studies,
handbooks, preparation of websites, and etc.
Target groups that the ECB influences include the public sector, industry, small and medium enterprises, universities and households.
Actions implemented in the field of building performance:
Measure under implementation:
- replacement of windows
Total glass surfaces present 3 585,5 m2. The old windows with U = 4,7 W/(m2.K) are under replacement with new with U(frame) ≤ 2,0 W/(m2.K), U(glass) ≤ 1,1 W/(m2.K).

Total energy savings: 1 306,04 MWh/rok
Cost savings: 2 903,7 mill. Sk
Planned investment for next years:
- reconstruction of heating and hot water system , regulation of heat exchange system and building of central controlor system
- using of solar collectors for hot water preparation
- realisation EE measures - administrative electric appliances and lighting
- unification of cooling system,
- monitoring and controling of electric peak loads
