Municipality Cankova
Slovenia - 2 150 inhabitants

Presentation of the organisation:

Municipality Cankova (Hungarian: Vashidegkút, German: Kaltenbrunn) covers 33 km2 and it consists of 8 villages. Irrespective of the small size, there is a number of untouched natural pearls in Cankova.

The hill world of Goričko and panonian-prekmurjan plane are presenting a wonderful view at the cultivated fields, well-regulated households, gardens, forests and winding streams. There are a lot of narcissuses growing; storks and otters are still living here in harmony with people.

The Kučnica stream is flowing along the western border of the Cankova municipality, which is bordering on the Republic of Austria. The Črnček stream and the rivulet Ledava are winding through the plane, which is originated the idyllic Ledava lake.

There is also a forest complex called Korovska gora, with the leading tourist forest path - Fuks graba, following through the hills to the vine tourist road Goričko.
