Presentation of the organisation:
Co. Kilkenny is in the province of Leinster in the south-east of Ireland. The County has a total area of 2062 km2 and a population of 80,000.
The main rivers in the county are the Nore and the River Barrow running along the border with Co. Carlow.
Kilkenny City has been designated as a regional hub in the National Spatial Strategy Plan. Technology, tourism, craft & design, engineering and food processing are the dominant industries in the area.
