The range of measures is wide. The effort in the future is in the energy efficient design of the new public buildings, energy and environment-conscious retrofit of existing buildings stock. Sustainable urban transport is also important. The main target within this programme is to improve the monitoring and control of energy use in public buildings with the aim to develop the appropriate direction of refurbishment strategy. Within the city we have energy advisory office for the citizens. Activity within the Display campaign, coordinated by the BCEI ZRMK institute will further on strengthen the public awareness and involvement.
