All good things come to an end

24 janvier 2025, par Admin | 18 Visites

Display campaign is retiring end 2025.

Dear faithful Displayers.

After nearly 20 years of cities voluntarily displaying their energy and environmental performances, Energy Cities, the proud initiator of the Campaign, have decided to close down the Display poster making software.

For the last 5 to 10 years Display has been running on very limited resources. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to maintain the Display trademark. And the Display campaign website is now facing the challenge of respecting GDPR and modern security norms, which would require a complete rethinking on the technical aspect.
Until the end of 2025 we will keep the tool open but we encourage users to download there data in 2025, as from the beginning of 2026 the site will be removed.

Again we thank you for all the support you have provided to this campaign over so many years and apologise for any inconvenience that it may cause.

Yours sincerely,
Ian Turner
Display project officer since 2005
